Summary of my INBRE experience

July 23, 2018

I’ve had a lot of fun with my experiments this summer. I’ve gotten to define what we are calling “recovery” of rhythm, learned a ton about neural network plasticity that has nothing to do with memory, better learned how the electrical recording equipment in the rigs through troubleshooting, and pioneered our experiments that precluded chloride in the aCSF we make for our experiments. Writing and coming up with a way to tell people about my research, in an easily understandable way, has been the hardest part of my summer project. The absolute worst part will be having to present the info because it means I have to actually talk to people.
