Plaque Attack

July 13, 2018

Wowzas, so much has happened since my last blog post. What I thought were promising results in my last post turned out to to be insignificant. This resulted in me going back to the drawing board a few times, but just this week I was able to get definite plaques, which indicate bacteriophage/bacteria interaction occurring. My mentor, Dr. Sheridan, and I were so excited, especially considering how trial and error the past few weeks have been.

This week has left me feeling especially thankful for the INBRE program and all I've been able to accomplish with the help of the program and Dr. Sheridan. I'm starting to get super excited for the Idaho INBRE conference in a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to presenting my findings and networking with new people. It's starting to feel real and I can't wait!
