Dr. Groome is a molecular neuroscientist who investigates ion channels in nerves and muscle fibers. His lab works to understand the structural and functional relationship which allows ion channels to generate electrical signaling.

My name is Reiker Ricks. I was raised on a potato farm in the Rexburg, Idaho area where I had the opportunity to work alongside my father and brothers. I have always enjoyed learning new things and developing new skills. My interests steered more toward science as I got older and now I am studying Biochemistry at BYU-Idaho.
